A Life Worth Sharing
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Amber who grew up in a small Montana town. The only thing she ever dreamed of was to be a teacher and raise her family in a loving home. She put her mind to it and did both.
After years of infertility, Jack and Amber chose to grow their family through fostering Montana youth. Their family has journeyed through four adoptions, including a newborn sibling finalized in August 2024.
The Mission
Kingdom Building At Home
Over two decades into teaching, Amber realized that teaching and raising kids with special needs was taking a toll on her health, marriage, and family. After thoughtful prayer and guidance, she stepped back to focus on building God’s Kingdom in her home, marriage, church, and community.
Even without life figured out, Amber has lessons worth sharing. Mt Chick Mama is a place to learn, grow, find encouragement, and follow the Truth together.

My amazing family includes my husband Jack and our six girls. Yes, we have all girls, and yes, my husband is a saint. We have wonderful insights into raising children with trauma and exposure in utero.
