About our chaotic life

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Amber who grew up in a small Montana town.  The only thing she ever dreamed of was to be a teacher and raise her family in a loving home. She put her mind to it and did both. She married her husband, Jack, who brought with him, two beautiful bonus daughters to start the family. After years of infertility, Jack and Amber decided to pursue growing their family through fostering Montana youth. They finalized their third adoption in November of 2016 and assumed they were done growing their family. But 8 years later, they were surprised with a newborn sibling from their previous adoptions and finalized her adoption in August of 2024.  Over two decades into teaching, Amber came to the realization that even though she worked her butt off to get where she is today, it came at a price. After being placed with their 4th adoption, Amber realized that teaching and raising kids with special needs was taking a toll on her health, her marriage, and her family. After some thoughtful prayer and guidance, the decision was made for her to take a step back from teaching to focus more on building God's Kingdom in her home, marriage, church, and community. After a few months, she realized that even if she didn't have life figured out, she did have lessons in life worth sharing. Between her knowledge from her teaching and her experience with raising kids with traumatic backgrounds, Amber made the decision to start a platform where she can share and build community with more people out there that have the desire to learn, grow, and follow the Truth!

Family

My amazing family. My husband Jack and our 6 girls are posing at the grand opening of Canvas Church in Missoula Montana. Yes, we have all girls and yes, my husband is a saint. We have journeyed through 4 adoptions through the foster care system and have wonderful insights into raising kids with trauma and exposure in utero.

My Home

We currently have a flock of over a dozen chickens and 2 Neo Daniff dogs to bring more chaos to our life, but we love it.
